The Sheboygan Dog Training Club offers dog obedience classes to club members and the public. Classes are held year round and range from puppy's first class through open and utillity classes for more experienced dogs and owners.

AKC obedience started in the United States in the late 1930s. Early obedience trainers toured the country with their dogs giving obedience exhibitions and introducing dog obedience to the American public.
